Your La Grange game host

Meet the builder
behind your lineup.

Scott Keeling has spent 35 years hosting live entertainment and building games by hand. He brings both skills to La Grange events, whether it's 20 guests in a backyard or a few hundred at a school fun day.

Scott got his start in Las Vegas entertainment, where he learned how to read a crowd and keep people engaged. That same instinct shapes the event entertainment he plans for parties, weddings and company outings across Oldham County.

Because Scott builds many of his games himself, he knows how each one plays, how much room it needs and which ages enjoy it most. That makes planning easier for any La Grange setting, from a fenced backyard to a church fellowship hall or a park shelter.

Bringing the games to La Grange

La Grange is the Oldham County seat, famous for the freight trains that roll right down the middle of Main Street, past its shops and restaurants. It is also an easy trip from Louisville, about 25 miles up I-71 to exit 22. When organizers here want guests up and playing, The Game Guy brings giant games, carnival favorites and interactive entertainment to venues across town and nearby Crestwood, Buckner and Pewee Valley.

Planning around La Grange

Downtown festivals, Main Street gatherings and private parties near the courthouse call for games that fit walkable spaces. Scott matches oversized lawn games and carnival stations to the footprint you have, so guests can join in without crowding the sidewalk.

Out along KY-53 and I-71 exit 22, company picnics, school carnivals and church events often need a fuller midway. The same collection that serves Louisville travels here: giant games, sports challenges and interactive attractions set up for Oldham County crowds.

      Coming Soon · Monthly Membership

Turn game nights into a rental business.

Ever looked at a giant game at a party and thought, I could build that? Scott has spent 35 years doing exactly that, and he is turning what he has learned into a program for future game rental owners.

Scott Keeling, who brings The Game Guy to La Grange, Louisville and communities across the region, is creating an educational membership for people who want to start a carnival game rental company, build their own interactive games or grow an event entertainment business they already run.

The focus is practical: how a game goes from a sketch to sturdy, event-ready equipment, how to choose a first inventory, what event-day prep really involves and how to give customers an experience they want to book again.

Taught by the person who builds the games. Plans for the monthly membership include live calls with Scott, how-to videos, business discussions and a community of people working toward the same goal. Pricing, launch timing and final features will be shared before enrollment opens.

      Membership is not yet open.

      La Grange Game Rental Questions

      Planning in La Grange?
      Start here.

Answers to the questions La Grange and Oldham County organizers ask most about giant games, carnival games and interactive entertainment for parties, schools, churches and company events.

      Ask Scott a Question
Does The Game Guy serve La Grange and the rest of Oldham County?

Yes. Scott brings games to La Grange as well as Crestwood, Buckner, Pewee Valley, Goshen and other Oldham County communities, about 25 miles up I-71 from Louisville.

When you reach out, include your venue address and event date so Scott can confirm availability and travel arrangements for your location.

How much does it cost to rent games for a La Grange party or event?

Pricing depends on which games you choose, how many you need, how long your event runs and where it takes place. A backyard birthday with a few lawn games will be priced differently from a school fun day with a full carnival midway.

For an accurate quote, share your date, venue, guest count and the games you like. You can browse the full game collection first to make a shortlist.

What games work best for a backyard party in La Grange?

Giant Jenga, Giant Pong, Soccer Pool and oversized Connect 4 are easy wins for backyard birthdays, graduation parties and family reunions. A few tabletop carnival games add variety for younger kids.

Before choosing, measure the open area of your yard and note any slopes, trees or patios. Flat, open grass gives you the most options, and Scott can suggest games that fit the space you have.

Can you bring carnival games to a school or church event in Oldham County?

Yes. PTO fun days, fall festivals, church picnics and community fundraisers are a great fit for carnival-style games. Toss games, tabletop skill challenges and quick-play stations keep lines short and give every age group something to do.

It helps to know your expected attendance, how many volunteers you will have and whether the event is indoors or outdoors. See more school and community event ideas.

Are there games that work indoors if the weather turns?

Many tabletop carnival games, hosted game shows and team challenges work well in a school gym, church fellowship hall or event room. Larger giant games may need extra floor space and ceiling clearance.

For outdoor La Grange events, a rain plan is a good idea. A covered park shelter or an indoor backup space lets you keep the games going if the forecast changes.

How far ahead should I book for a summer or fall date?

Reach out as soon as you know your date and venue. Summer weekends and the fall festival season are the busiest times, and specific games can be reserved for other events on the same day.

If your event is coming up soon, contact Scott anyway. He can tell you which games are still available for your date.

How do I book, and how does payment work?

Bookings are made directly with Scott by phone. Call (270) 696-4386 or use the event form on this page, and Scott will follow up to go over the details.

Scott takes payment directly by cash, debit card or check. Rental terms are covered in a written rental agreement that you review before your event.

Do rentals include delivery, setup and someone to run the games?

Delivery, setup, pickup and on-site help are discussed when you request your quote. What is included can depend on the games you choose, your venue and whether any activities need someone to run them.

Let Scott know your event schedule and whether you would like help managing the games during the event, and he can explain the options for your booking.

Can Scott build a custom game for a La Grange business or school?

Yes. Scott Keeling designs and builds custom games around company logos, school colors, mascots and event themes, which works well for business promotions, festival booths and spirit nights.

Share your idea, audience and event date to get started, or visit the custom games page to learn more.
