Year-round fun
for Shelby County.
For 35 years, Scott Keeling has hosted live entertainment and built games by hand. Shelbyville is a straight shot east on I-64 from his Louisville-area base, and organizers here have brought him back for community events throughout the year.
A start in Las Vegas entertainment taught Scott how to read a crowd and keep people engaged, and he brings that experience to city celebrations, parties and company events across Shelby County.
Because Scott builds many of his games himself, he knows how much room each one takes and who enjoys it most. That makes planning easier, whether your event is on a downtown Shelbyville street, a school lawn or a church fellowship hall.

Planning around Shelbyville
Downtown events along Main Street and the city's walkways draw families on foot, so compact carnival stations and a few standout giant games work well. Scott plans the layout around your space so guests can stop and play without blocking foot traffic.
Out in the county, farm venues, school grounds and church lawns usually have room for a full midway. The same collection that serves Louisville heads east on I-64 with giant games, sports challenges and hosted attractions for Shelby County crowds.

questions, answered.
Answers for Shelbyville and Shelby County organizers planning giant games, carnival games and interactive entertainment for city events, schools, churches and company picnics.
Ask Scott a QuestionDoes The Game Guy serve Shelbyville and the rest of Shelby County?
Yes. Scott brings games to Shelbyville along with Simpsonville, Bagdad, Waddy and other Shelby County communities, about 30 miles east of Louisville on I-64. Shelbyville organizers have booked him for community events throughout the year.
Include your venue address and event date when you reach out so Scott can confirm availability and travel details.
How much does it cost to rent games for a Shelbyville party or event?
Pricing depends on which games you choose, how many you need, how long your event runs and where it takes place. A backyard birthday with a few lawn games will be priced differently from a city festival with a full carnival midway.
For an accurate quote, share your date, venue, guest count and the games you like. You can browse the full game collection first to make a shortlist.
Can you provide games for a city festival or downtown event?
Yes. City festivals and downtown events often have busy walkways and limited booth space, so compact carnival stations and a few giant games tend to work best.
Check with the event organizer about space, power and setup times, then share those details with Scott so he can plan the right footprint.
Do you set up games at farm and barn venues?
Yes. Barn and farm venues around Shelby County usually have open lawns that work well for giant games like Giant Jenga, Soccer Pool and Connect 4 during cocktail hour or between dinner and dancing.
Let Scott know about the ground surface, any slopes and where guests will gather so he can recommend games that fit the setting.
What games work best for a school fun day in Shelby County?
Quick carnival games like Bottle Up, Duck Hunt and Banana Toss keep lines moving, and giant games like Connect 4 and Giant Jenga give older students something to gather around.
Tell Scott how many students are coming, how long each group has and whether you will be on a field, blacktop or gym floor. See more school and community event ideas.
How far ahead should I book for a Shelbyville event?
Reach out as soon as you know your date and venue. Summer weekends and the fall festival season are the busiest times, and specific games can be reserved for other events on the same day.
If your event is coming up soon, contact Scott anyway. He can tell you which games are still available for your date.
How do I book, and how does payment work?
Bookings are made directly with Scott by phone. Call (270) 696-4386 or use the event form on this page, and Scott will follow up to go over the details.
Scott takes payment directly by cash, debit card or check. Rental terms are covered in a written rental agreement that you review before your event.
Do rentals include delivery, setup and someone to run the games?
Delivery, setup, pickup and on-site help are discussed when you request your quote. What is included can depend on the games you choose, your venue and whether any activities need someone to run them.
Let Scott know your event schedule and whether you would like help managing the games during the event, and he can explain the options for your booking.
Can Scott build a custom game for a Shelbyville business or school?
Yes. Scott Keeling designs and builds custom games around company logos, school colors, mascots and event themes, which works well for festival booths, business promotions and spirit nights.
Share your idea, audience and event date to get started, or visit the custom games page to learn more.
